Dom Pérignon, a brand of vintage Champagne produced by the Champagne house Moët & Chandon, has announced the launch of the Atelier Dom Pérignon. It is an immersive experience that lets wine lovers discover its unique heritage, the alliance of an exceptional terroir and centuries-old savoir-faire. The educational tour from the makers of prestigious champagne will take visitors into the heart of the Champagne House’s best-guarded secrets. Commencing in June 2015, the sessions will be held at the Abbey of Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers which overlooks the Marne Valley in the heart of Champagne, nestled on the Montagne de Reims slopes. It is the same place where in the 17th century the monk Dom Pierre Pérignon discovered and perfected the techniques that gave birth to the one of the best wines in the world.
Getting an opportunity to taste the three Plénitudes of Dom Pérignon: Dom Pérignon vintage 2004 or 2005, Dom Pérignon P2 1998, and Dom Pérignon P3 1990, as well as Dom Pérignon rosé 2003, is a part of the one-day workshop. The session also includes instruction on technical tastings of wines, emphasizing both the nose and the mouth, plus an introduction to wine and food pairings. There is also an amazing digital and sensory experience in the “Blackbox”, plus a tour of the vineyards and the Abbaye d’Hautvillers.
Also the workshop ends with an invitation extended to the guests to join the Club Dom Pérignon and have access to exclusive offers. Fourteen exclusive Atelier Dom Pérignon sessions will be scheduled for this inaugural year and the number of seats for each of these events will be limited to twelve people only.
With the launch of this exceptional immersive experience, Dom Pérignon serves a unique chance to meld senses and knowledge to wine connoisseurs.
