Who

Kinari Design specializes in the interior architecture, design and decoration of luxury residential and boutique commercial properties, yachts and private jets.
Headquartered in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in the heart of prime London, we draw upon a British legacy of creativity, style and elegance and combine it with our personal experience of living in London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Dubai and Athens, and working in many more exciting locations around the world.

We co-ordinate our international projects from London, with a small studio in Los Angeles and a new art and design studio in the grounds of the luxurious Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni, Athens.

Our portfolio of commercial clients ranges from hospitality (including working with the Ritz Carlton Group, Starwood Hotels, Oqyana and Menin Group), retail (including Bulgari, Chanel, and Roche Bobois), fitness (including Bally Fitness, Holmes Place and PHS) as well as developers, real estate companies and many others.
Our residential portfolio has included working with such celebrities such as Sean Connery, Ayrton Senna and Tina Turner, numerous Middle Eastern royal families and many from the financial, legal and corporate worlds. We are currently involved in a ground breaking offshore project situated on one of the reclaimed islands of ‘The World’ in Dubal.

While the client base is wide ranging and the projects are varied, our approach remains the same, as we draw on a combined design and business heritage to ensure that the quality of our design is supported by a rigorous professional approach to finish, budgets and schedules. We are able to draw upon the sklils of a carefully constructed and assiduously monitored list of support professionals covering any aspect of a project that we are not able to deal with directly.

We are currently involved in a ground breaking offshore project situated on one of the reclaimed islands of ‘The World’ in Dubal.

For some years we have worked closely with galleries building art collections for our client’s homes and offices as well as sourcing art to be lent for display in show flats, developments and for photo shoots. Using our connections in the art world we have organized a number of art shows in private homes, hotels and offices and also provided art for the launch of a fashion company and numerous charity events. Now, by by combining our business background, interior design skills and knowledge of the art scene we have curated our own art collection to integrate seamlessly into our interior design schemes.
Our own art company, Ethos Art, buys directly from galleries and artists and curates a carefully selected range of original pieces that we know will work with our design style. Originally set up in the US only for Kinari projects, numerous requests from other sources have convinced us to both open up in London and to expand the service to allow architects, developers and designers as well as our hospitality, finance and retail clients to benefit.

Kinari Design has an ongoing commitment to philanthropic work, especially working with children’s charities. We are excited to be working closely with   Place2Be in the UK and internationally.

‘Kinari’ represents a traditional Japanese aesthetic based on unadorned beauty that uses a language of simple forms and natural materials. Our design schemes draw on both Asian and Western influences to create an ordered simplicity that requires skill and tenacity to achieve and entails rigorous discipline and attention to detail.
